The company has released its financial results for the six months ended 30 September 2021.

Kyocera said that sales revenue for H1 “achieved a new record high” at ¥876.337 billion ($7.72 billion/ €6.66 billion), a 25.9% increase on the same period of the previous financial year. Part of its Solutions Business Unit, the Document Solution Business, which includes printers, recorded sales revenue of ¥175.248 billion ($1.54 billion/ €1.33 billion), a year-on-year increase of 26.9%.

Kyocera attributes this upward trend to the demand for printers and MFPS recovering, mainly in Europe and the United States.

Due to the financial results exceeding previous expectations, Kyocera made an upward revision of the expected results for the full year 2022, with a revised sales revenue now expected to be ¥1,750 billion ($15.41 billion/ €13.29 billion).
