Zhono informs about Sharp firmware update

The chip manufacturer has released information on a new firmware update by Sharp affecting the Sharp MX61 series cartridges.

In its announcement, the company said that on 5 January 2021 Sharp released the latest firmware update, which upgrades Sharp MX61 series devices. Zhono explained that this firmware update does not get uploaded automatically on devices but needs to be actively selected by users or operated by Sharp technicians.

Sharp models affected by the firmware update are Sharp MX-M3050, MX-2630, MX-2650, MX-2651, MX-3071, MX-M350W and MX-8455W.

Zhono confirmed that its replacement chips for Sharp MX61 series are compatible with both the latest and previous copiers (see figure 1).
