Xerox recognised for LGBTQ inclusion
February 15, 2018
The Connecticut OEM has received top marks in the HRC’s Corporate Equality Index for 2018.
Xerox has scored a perfect 100 in the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2018 Corporate Equality Index, which examines and assesses diversity and inclusion for LGBTQ staff, reports the Hartford Business Journal.
A new record of 609 businesses, including the Norwalk-based OEM, earned the top score of 100 in this year’s Index – nearly one hundred more than last year’s total of 517, and a single-year increase of 18 percent.
The Corporate Equality Index rates businesses in five separate categories: Non-discrimination policies; employment benefits; demonstrated organisation competency and accountability surrounding LGBTQ diversity and inclusion; public commitment to LGBTQ equality; and responsible citizenship.
February is LGBT History Month, commemorating and celebrating the history of the LGBT movement, and the fight for equality.
