Working Mother honours Lexmark
September 26, 2018
Lexmark has revealed that Working Mother has once again named the OEM among its annual “100 Best Companies” for 2018.
The designation celebrates companies that lead in the areas of female career advancement, paid parental leave, childcare assistance, benefits and flextime.
“Lexmark is proud to once again be among Working Mother Media’s 100 Best Companies,” said Sharon Votaw, Lexmark Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. “Our employees are more engaged because they know that the company supports all facets of their lives. Our paid parental leave programs and workplace flexibility offerings are designed to promote that work-life integration.”
As part of the recognition, Lexmark Senior Software Engineer Ildiko Robey is featured among the Working Mothers of the Year.
“I’m very grateful for the flexibility Lexmark offers,” Robey said. “I work hours that might be odd to some, but there is trust there that I will get my work done. I also truly appreciate the company’s onsite childcare centre, which enabled me to take breaks and feed my infant every few hours. Thanks to Lexmark, I was able to be the mother I wanted to become.”
“This year’s 100 Best Companies continue to strive for excellence when it comes to providing a work environment that is not only woman-friendly, but parent-friendly,” says Meredith Bodgas, editor-in-chief of Working Mother. “By offering flexible schedules, paid parental leave, post-leave phase-back periods, adoption and surrogacy financial assistance, and mentoring programs, these companies address working parents’ and caregivers’ needs head-on and help them succeed at work and home.”
