Wading in an ocean of plastic

A new infographic from Clover Imaging Group reveals the disturbing truth about the amount of plastic which ends up in the world’s oceans.

According to the infographic, a whopping 8 million tons of plastic end up in our oceans on an annual basis, creating “enough plastic waste to cover every foot of coastline around the world with FIVE full rubbish bags of plastic…compounding every year”.

Frighteningly, this figure will only rise, with the infographic revealing that this “will increase to 10 bags full of plastic per foot of coastline by 2025”.

This latest information about plastic pollution is part of a series of infographics released by CIG in recent weeks; the others can be found here, here, here and here.
