Two arrested in Nairobi for counterfeiting

Two Pakistani nationals have been arrested in Nairobi and held in custody over suspicions of selling counterfeit products.
According to an article in the Nairobi News, the two suspects were arrested in possession of counterfeit cartridges worth 75 million Somali shilling ($130,500/ €115,424).
The arrest was undertaken by a joint intelligence team from Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), and Anti-Counterfeit Authority (ACA).
According to the article, “the suspects have been identified as 26-year-old Abas Muzammil and 24-year-old Ali Sheraz.”
The counterfeit goods in possession of the two suspects, included HP laserjet toner cartridges, Samsung toner cartridges and Canon cartridges.
The article added: “Other items which were recovered from the suspects include pedal plastic sealing machine compressor, printing machine cartridge body label, hot melt glue gun, counterfeit HP security seals, empty flat boxes labelled HP laser Jets and empty bubble bags.”
