Toshiba Tec’s sales and operating profits improve

The company has released its latest financial results, recording year-on-year growth in sales and operating profits.
For the FY2022 results Toshiba Tec achieved net sales of ¥510.8 billion ($3.8 billion/ €3.5 billion), a year-on-year increase of ¥65.5 billion ($487 million/ €445 million). For the Workplace Solutions Business Group, net sales were ¥217.7 billion ($1.6 billion/ €1.5 billion), an increase of 20% year-on-year.
Toshiba explained that sales of MFPs increased due to the impact of foreign exchange rates in addition to strong sales in the Americas, Europe, Asia and other overseas regions as a result of focusing on changing transportation method or route, raising selling prices and other efforts, despite ongoing shortages in product supply caused by the tight supply-demand balance in international cargo transportation, while the effects of the shortage of components were mitigated.
For the next fiscal year, Toshiba Tec forecast net sales of ¥520 billion ($3.86 billion/ €3.54 billion).
