Toshiba Tec: Operating profit remained the same

The company has released its consolidated business results for the first six months of FY2023.

Net sales for the period were ¥263.6 billion ($1.74 billion/ €1.63 billion), up ¥19.8 billion ($130.46 million / €122.19 million) year-on-year. Operating profits were level year-on-year at ¥5.9 billion ($38.87 million/ €36.4 million). Net sales were slightly up on a quarter-to-quarter basis.

For the half year period, net sales of the Workplace Solutions Business Group segment, which includes its printers, were ¥116.4 billion ($766.95 million/ €718.35 million), an increase year-on-year.

The forecast for the full year 2023 has been slightly changed upwards with net sales now predicted to be ¥540 billion ($3.56 billion/ €3.33 billion), with the Workplace Solutions Business Group segment predicted to contribute ¥235 billion ($1.55 billion/ €1.45 billion).
