Toshiba released FY2018 results

The OEM has released its full year results for fiscal year 2018, mostly achieving its forecasted targets.

Toshiba recorded net sales of ¥476.8 billion ($4.347 billion/ €3.869 billion), ¥13.2 billion ($120.362 million/ €107.128 million) lower than forecasted in February 2019, and ¥36.5 billion ($332.836 million/ €296.226 million) lower than the previous year.

Operating profits were down ¥1 billion ($9.11 million/ €8.11 million) from the forecast and only achieved ¥18 billion ($164.127 million/ €146.070 million).

The printing solutions business group recorded net sales of ¥192.9 billion ($1.758 billion/ €1.565 billion) and operating profits of ¥5.7 billion ($51.976 million/ €46.263 million).

In its forecast for the fiscal year 2019, Toshiba sets a target of ¥480 billion ($4.376 billion/ €3.895 billion) in net sales with the printing solutions business group contributing ¥193 billion ($1.759 billion/ €1.566 billion).
