Toner Tank said in its news item that according to the monitoring of chip suppliers, HP has released a new firmware, “20240321” on June 3, 2024, via Wi-Fi for printers using CF289 series replacement cartridges.
Once the update has been done, some printers may display an error message stating “Non-HP Chip Detected”.
Toner Tank said that its current HP CF289 series products are not affected by this firmware upgrade, but older chips in the HP W2110, W2210, W2310, and W2410 series may be impacted.
