Sri Lankan company Technocity Pvt Ltd has won the Best Distributor Award (PC Category) at the annual HP Partner Awards.
According to Biz, Technocity is “one of the leading distributors in Sri Lanka for HP products and services,” and was recognised for its “outstanding contribution for PC & Laptop sales in 2018. It is the second year in a row the company has been honoured.
“Technocity started business in 1994 and became a HP distributor in 2015. Within a short span of time, despite being the one and only local distributor, we have been able to win this title for the last two years competing with multinationals,” explained Business Head for Distribution at Technocity, Ali Azhar.
The HP Partner Awards recognises the performance of all of the OEM’s Distributors and Partners across the island nation, with this year’s ceremony taking place at the Shangrila Hotel Hambantota.
The award was presented by Christian Reyes, Managing Director of HP Inc. Asia & Emerging Markets, with Samantha Gooi and Eddy Soh, Regional Business Category Managers for Asia & Emerging Markets for Notebooks and Desktops, respectively, alongside Country Manager for HP Sri Lanka, Manjula Jayasinghe.
“Winning this award for a second time is a significant achievement since the Technocity is the only Sri Lankan distributor in the country,” said Technocity Managing Director Fahmy Ismail, who paid “grateful thanks to my professional and highly motivated team.”
“This is also due to the strong performance of our partners across the country who take HP PCs and their cutting edge technologies to consumers”, Ismail added.
