Tech Data appoints new VP for DACH region

Barbara Koch has been announced as the Senior Vice President & Regional Managing Director DACH of Tech Data.
Tech Data, A TD SYNNEX Company, announced that Barbara Koch has been appointed Senior Vice President & Regional Managing Director for Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH), effective 1 August 2022.
Koch was previously responsible for Tech Data’s national company in Germany and headed the Advanced Solutions division in DACH. She replaces Michael Dressen, who is retiring after 10 years at the helm of the Tech Data business in DACH.
Barbara Koch joined Tech Data in 2014 and assumed responsibility for the Advanced Solutions (AS) area in Germany and Austria. From mid-2018, their function was extended to the entire DACH region. Koch has held the position of Managing Director of Tech Data Germany since August 2021.
With the departure of Michael Dressen, Barbara Koch will assume responsibility for the entire DACH region from 1 August. In her new role, she will join Tech Data’s European Executive Board (EEB) and report to Patrick Zammit, President Europe & APJ Tech Data.

Michael Dressen joined Tech Data in January 2012 as Regional Managing Director Germany and Austria and has been a member of Tech Data’s European Executive Board (EEB) since 2013. In 2018 he assumed overall responsibility for the DACH region. On 31 July 2022 he will go into retirement.

I’m really looking forward to taking over the DACH region and to the tasks ahead.”
From August 2022, Michael Görner, previously responsible for the German business of the Advanced Solutions division, will take on the role of Vice President Advanced Solutions in the DACH region.
The local organisations in Austria and Switzerland will remain as before, Tech Data said.
