Static Control announces infringement-free design

The largest manufacturer of aftermarket imaging systems and components revealed the news on its LinkedIn page.

According to the company, the new design “does not infringe or violate the asserted patents in the ITC investigation,” a fact that Static Control claims has been acknowledged by Canon itself.

The investigation in question was launched by USITC in March, in response to Canon’s legal onslaught against dozens of separate companies. The OEM’s accusations centre around the import and/or offer of sale of toner cartridges alleged to contain components infringing nine of its patents.

The Recycler will bring readers more details on Static Control’s new design as they emerge.
