The company has announced one monochrome and three new colour printers with advanced security, more sustainable designs and mobile compatibility.

Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA), a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation (SEC), announced the launch of three professional-grade colour and monochrome printers, the BP-B550PW, BP-C545PW, BP-C131PW, along with a multifunction printer (MFP), the BP-C131WD.

The four models boast advanced security features to protect against network intrusions and enhance overall device security. These include personal and sensitive data protection, data encryption, secure data erasure, and TLS 1.3 support. Additionally, they feature boot verification, automatic firmware updates and end-of-lease data deletion to ensure robust security throughout the device lifecycle.

The BP-C131PW single-function colour printer and the BP-C131WD colour MFP are designed with sustainability in mind, Sharp said. Printing at 31 pages per minute, both devices are made up of approximately 50% recycled plastic and use patented organic toner made from plant-based materials. They come with Energy Star advanced power management and low-temperature fusing for best-in-class power consumption and overall energy efficiency. In addition, their 4″ Class LCD touchscreens provide for high-level responsiveness.

“We’re excited to introduce these innovative printers to the marketplace, which represent a significant advancement in high-volume functionality specifically designed for contemporary businesses,” shared Dino Pagliarello, Vice President of Product Management & Production Print at Sharp. “These printers are equipped with cutting-edge security features, more sustainable designs, and seamless mobile technology, allowing Sharp to advance our mission to offer our customers dependable and innovative printing solutions that boost productivity and foster collaboration.”

The monochrome BP-B550PW and colour BP-C545PW printers feature 7″ Class LCD touchscreens, printing speeds of 50 and 45 pages per minute respectively, and optional virus detection and data security kits for added cybersecurity protection.

All four printers can access applications and cloud services, such as Microsoft Office direct printing and Cloud Connect capabilities. IT managers can utilise Synappx Manage to remotely monitor and automate device management.

These models are available to order immediately and can be purchased directly through Sharp or through an authorised Sharp dealer.
