Sharp expands range of A4 workplace MFPs
September 25, 2023
Sharp has announced four new additions to its Workgroup A4 MFP series, expanding its ecosystem of smart office devices and services to provide printing solution that caters to diverse workplace environments.
The new models (MX-B468F, MX-B468P, MX-C358F and MX-C428P) offer improved productivity and connectivity features and top-tier security enhancements, while also supporting businesses with their environmental goals, Sharp explained.
Sharp’s new print devices enable collaboration for workforces split between offices, homes, and other remote locations. Cloud-based functionality allows teams to collaborate from anywhere, while the integration of wireless LAN connectivity guarantees secure wireless usage without compromising security protocols. Additionally, mobile connectivity features allow employees to manage their printing tasks from their smartphones.
The new models from Sharp offer businesses efficient document management; with impressive speeds of up to 44ppm, the print devices are equipped to keep up with the demands of workplaces of any size. In addition, the MFPs offer double sided scanning, reducing operation time and ensuring ultimate efficiency for busy offices.
Sharp’s new models boast robust security features to protect businesses, employees and their data, both printed and digital. The optional Trusted Platform Module (TPM) provides a more secure experience for users by storing hard drive encryption keys on a separate piece of hardware. SSL Certificate Validation automatically checks that all third-party servers communicating with devices are safe, to prevent any unauthorised attempts to access information.
The new interface is modern and user-friendly. The capacitive touch screen includes multi-touch capabilities to improve user experience, particularly with the ‘Preview’ functionality. The button-free, tablet-like operational panel, the most common touchpoint on the MFP, makes it much easier to keep clean.
As sustainability becomes an increasing focus for businesses, Sharp’s new print devices include features to support sustainability goals. Faster warm up time reduces power consumption by up to 11% compared to previous models, while longer life toner cartridges reduce waste and require less servicing.
Ben Lake, Senior Product Manager at Sharp Europe said: “Sharp acknowledges the modern workplace relies on productivity, streamlined connectivity, sustainability, and data security – and our latest A4 range addresses these demands. With the continuation of hybrid working, businesses have had to reevaluate their office needs, even the size of MFPs or printers they require. As such, we are seeing an increasing demand for compact A4 machines.”
The company added that alongside the MX-C528F and MX-C428F launched earlier this year, the four new additions complete its latest range of A4 MFPs.
