The Tennessee-based office equipment dealer has made its third acquisition of 2019, with the purchase of the Birmingham, Alabama-based company.

Business Electronics is a privately-owned office technology and solutions provider, according to Birmingham Business Journal, including the provision of multifunction printers and copiers.

Birmingham Business Journal describes Business Electronics’ new parent company as “one of the Southeast’s largest providers of managed print services, remote support, office imaging, and more.”

“Business Electronics has a history of providing superior customer service and top-quality office solutions,” said Chip Crunk, President and CEO of RJ Young, quoted in Yahoo Finance. “We look forward to further expanding our presence in the Birmingham area and furthering our mission of providing excellence in office technologies.”

Although financial details of the acquisition remain undisclosed, it has been confirmed that Business Electronics will remain in Alabama, with its employees joining RJ Young’s 650-strong workforce.

The takeover completes a hattrick of acquisitions for RJ Young in 2019, which previously announced the purchase of Jackson, Mississippi-based office equipment dealer Digitec in February, and Louisiana’s office technology and equipment dealer Automated Imaging Systems, in March.
