Ricoh selected for inclusion in five major ESG Indices

Ricoh has been selected for inclusion in five major ESG investment indices for Japanese equities adopted by Japan’s Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF), the world’s largest government pension fund.
The MSCI Japan ESG Select Leaders Index was made up of 305 companies as of June 2022. MSCI, a leading U.S. financial services company, looks at publicly traded companies in Japan, comprehensively considers the ESG-related risks associated within each industry, and selects those companies that demonstrate the best relative ESG performance based on MSCI’s own rating and scoring system.
The list of indices Ricoh has been included in is as follows:
- MSCI Japan ESG Select Leaders Index *first time
- MSCI Japan Empowering Women Index (WIN) *continues to be included since 2017
- FTSE Blossom Japan Index *continues to be included since 2017
- FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index *selected for the first time in April 2022
- S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index *continues to be included since 2018
Ricoh has also been included in the “FTSE4Good Index”, which covers global companies, for 19 consecutive years since 2004.
