Ricoh scoops BLI PaceSetter award

March 12, 2021

Ricoh Europe is celebrating again having won Keypoint Intelligence’s seal of approval with a BLI 2021-2022 PaceSetter award for its connected MFP cloud ecosystem.

To determine which document imaging OEMs lead the market when it comes to MFP cloud ecosystems, Keypoint Intelligence evaluated vendors on their vision, strategies, proprietary and third-party cloud services, and more.

As part of its evaluation, Keypoint Intelligence noted that Ricoh has made cloud-connectivity a cornerstone of its MFP strategy, with its newest devices being compatible with its cloud-based workflow solutions that offer a growing roster of document capture, routing, and processing options for both general business processes (such Accounts Payable) and key verticals (such as legal and healthcare).

The evaluation also referenced how the useful workflows include file routing using QR codes, converting files to a desired format, sending files to multiple destinations, and advanced functionality through native integration with leading back-end document repositories and business applications. The fact these cloud services and workflows are secured and maintained by Ricoh as well as available on a subscription basis means that organisations require no capital expenditures, onsite servers, or special software for implementation.

Jamie Bsales, Keypoint Intelligence’s Director of Smart Workplace & Security Analysis, said: “To complement its various MFP apps and connectors, Ricoh offers a breadth of cloud services and workflow tools to augment the experience of using the apps as well as provide time-saving functionality beyond the simple routing or printing of documents. These services let teams efficiently extract useful data from paper, organise content for efficient retrieval, and access the right information on demand.”

Harald List, Director EMEA Product Management, EMEA Marketing, added: “The demand for robust and secure cloud connected MFPs reflects workers’ appetite for devices that enable greater accessibility and efficiency in terms of how and where they work. This PaceSetter award demonstrates our commitment to innovation, customer excellence and helping people work together from anywhere.”
