Ricoh hardware sales slip

Nov 4, 2022 | 0 comments

The company has announced its latest consolidated financial results, which the company said were still impacted by Shanghai lockdowns still impacting supplies deliveries and production.

For the first half of fiscal year 2022, Ricoh’s sales were ¥973.5 billion ($6.59 billion/ €6.72 billion). A year-on-year increase of 15.4%. Ricoh said that although Shanghai’s lockdown was lifted in June, its impact continued through to mid-August, delaying supplies to markets, while production system normalised despite some residual parts procurement challenges, with production and supply allocations proceeding in keeping with customer needs.

Shortages of A4 MFPs and other factors hampered set deliveries, detracting from H1 sales. For its non-hardware segment, Ricoh said performance was basically as forecasted, although slightly weaker than anticipated.
