Ricoh has issued a detailed firmware rollout plan as it prepares to phase out Basic Authentication for Exchange Online, an update to its earlier warning on OAuth 2.0 compliance.
Starting July 2025, Ricoh will release device-specific updates enabling modern SMTP authentication via OAuth 2.0. The change is critical for email-related functions like scan-to-email and fax delivery.
Devices without automatic updates must be manually patched and configured.
Ricoh recommends applying updates promptly to avoid service disruption post-Microsoft’s September 2025 deadline.
