Ricoh establishes RICOH PFU COMPUTING Co., Ltd.

RICOH PFU COMPUTING Co., Ltd. announced its establishment as of 1 April 2025.
RICOH PFU COMPUTING is a company that oversees the embedded personal computer and industrial personal computer businesses, integrating some of the businesses and organisations of PFU Limited.
Its parent body is RICOH Industrial Solutions Inc., affiliated with RICOH Digital Product Business Unit, Ricoh Company, Ltd.
Under the new structure, RICOH PFU COMPUTING will focus on providing edge devices and edge solutions that are adapted to rapidly evolving AI technology, in addition to the font business and embedded computer business as the leading embedded supplier in Japan. It aims to create new value through co-creation with its customers and contribute to the development of society.
Ricoh added in its announcement: “The design capabilities, which have been cultivated over the long history of both companies to achieve high quality and performance, will be combined with the mass production capabilities through continuous improvement at two domestic factories. RICOH PFU COMPUTING aims to be a one-of-a-kind domestic computing partner with unique value, with a thorough commitment to Japanese manufacturing.”
