Ricoh earns place on CDP2020 leaderboard

Ricoh Company, Ltd. earned an “A” score for the Climate Change 2020 Programme and was placed on the prestigious CDP2020 Supplier Engagement Leaderboard of the non-profit environmental organisation CDP.
CDP’s annual Supplier Engagement Rating (SER) is designed to evaluate and spur action on corporate supply chain engagement on climate issues, based on the CDP climate change questionnaire.
The CDP surveys more than 5,800 companies worldwide. The highest-rated companies are celebrated in the Supplier Engagement Leaderboard, and Ricoh is among the top 7% (approx. 400 companies) of the total assessed companies, of which 83 are Japanese.
Ricoh said it aims for zero GHG emissions across the entire value chain and aims to establish a zero-carbon society by providing highly energy-efficient products and solutions and actively encouraging business partners to do the same. Ricoh provides recycled products by drawing on 3R-related technologies amassed since 1994 and the global recovery structure based on “The Comet Circle” concept initiated for materializing a sustainable economy. Ricoh supports its suppliers in their CO2 reduction activities, and its comprehensive information disclosures are internationally acclaimed.
Climate change is one of the most pressing social issues facing our global society. Ricoh has committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2050 and will continue to promote the realisation of a zero-carbon society through energy conservation activities, renewable energy, and active participation in international initiatives.
