Ransomware attack halts Ingram Micro

Jul 9, 2025

Cyber incident disrupts operations amid ongoing investigation and system recovery.

Ingram Micro Holding Corporation has confirmed a ransomware attack on its internal systems, causing significant operational disruption. First disclosed on 5 July, the California-based technology distributor said it took immediate steps to contain the breach, including taking affected systems offline and notifying law enforcement.

The company is working with third-party cybersecurity experts to investigate and remediate the incident. Ingram Micro believes the threat has been contained and the compromised systems have been restored.

However, an investigation into the scope of the breach and data impact remains ongoing.

The attack has disrupted order processing and shipping, prompting the company to apologise to customers and partners. Efforts to restore systems continue around the clock, with enhanced safeguards now in place to protect the network environment.

Further updates will be shared as the situation develops, the company said.
