Printing on your summer travels
June 22, 2018
Global franchise, Cartridge World, is offering a series of helpful summer printing tips to bear in mind, whether you are going away on a business trip or holiday.
As the company explains, printing on your journeys is, for the most part, an “afterthought” and something you hardly worry about. But this could be a mistake, and lead you to fall foul of “some of the most common travel mishaps.”
In order to help you avoid this, Cartridge World offers the following handy tips:
1. Print copies of your ID
Losing your ID on your travels can be a real nightmare; in order to make sure this doesn’t happen, print copies of your various identification documents, such as passports and drivers’ licenses.
2.Make copies of your travel documents
While you are printing out your ID, why not make copies of your travel papers too? From plane tickets to hotel reservations and car rental confirmation, copies of these documents can come in very handy if you happen to mislay the originals.
3.Avoid the dreaded smear
Documents such as passports and boarding passes need to be properly printed, without smearing; this can be achieved through the use of “thick card stock instead of regular printing paper”, as well as by ensuring your ink and toner cartridges “are aligned properly” and that the ink or toner is dry before you store the printed documents.
4.Opt for double-sided
Print your documents double-sided; this helps to save paper, and also helps you keep all your important papers together.
5.Make several copies, not just one
Making multiple copies of all your crucial documents ensures you never lose them. Leave one at home, take at least one with you, and consider leaving one with a friend in case you need one to be sent to you.
6.Make electronic copies as well as physical ones
Store electronic copies of the papers on your email or a flash drive, as “it’s always good to have them available on your phone or computer in case you need to produce another hard copy.”
“Having our customer’s best interest in mind, especially during significant stress levels of travel, is at the heart of what we do and continues to be the foundation of Cartridge World’s global mission of educating the public on how to save time and money when printing,” said Mark Pinner, CEO of Cartridge World North America. “No matter the environment of home or office, our experienced and impartial staff are committed to providing local friendly assistance you won’t get online or from a big box store.”
