Print-Rite PR2 products cleared by Markman
March 11, 2019
Following both Static Control and Aster’s announcements that the recent Markman order issued in Canon’s USITC investigation No. 337-TA-1106 has cleared their products of patent infringement, Print-Rite has revealed its products also do not infringe.
Print-Rite says it is pleased to announce that the company’s PR2 products, including CE505A/X, CF226A/X and CE255A/X and other models which have “substantially the same PR2 couplings”, do not infringe Canon’s asserted patents according to the Markman order issued by the ALJ (Administrative Law Judge) Dee Lord of the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) on 28 February 2019.
PrintRite explains, “The current ALJ’s ruling on claim construction is yet to be confirmed by the ITC. In order to eliminate the risk, we suggest our customers use our PR3 products which have been confirmed non-infringing by Canon and are welcomed by the market.”
The company adds, “We will keep monitoring the development of the case and take necessary actions to ensure the maximum benefit of our customers.”
