PIAS partners with PrintReleaf

PrintReleaf has partnered with the Printing Industry Association of the South (PIAS).
PIAS is a non-profit trade association dedicated to promoting the stability and growth of the graphic arts industry. This new partnership will allow PIAS to expand its certification system to organisation members, offering a lower cost alternative on sustainable paper certification for commercial printers and their customers.
Using PrintReleaf, PIAS members have the option to ‘releaf’ their paper consumption using PrintReleaf’s patented technology which measures total paper consumption and converts that total into an equivalent number of trees that are automatically and certifiably planted around the world. PIAS members and their customers can then choose their reforestation sites and track their ongoing impact from their own online PrintReleaf portal.
“The Printing Industry Association of the South (PIAS) is very excited about this partnership as it allows PIAS members and their customers to simply prove the printing industry goes beyond just using sustainable paper. It actually shows how the paper being consumed in a print project is being reforested. PrintReleaf’s technology literally translates my members’ conservation efforts into physical trees and replenished forests and that speaks volumes to the world about how GREEN PRINT really is as a medium of communication,” said Ed Chalifoux, President of PIAS.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with PIAS. As we experienced with other PIA affiliates around the country, our partnership opens up a new regional market for PrintReleaf to grow with PIAS members and their clients and unlock a number of environmental, operational and financial benefits together,” said Jordan Darragh, CEO of PrintReleaf.
