Raids in Tarlac, Philipines, saw the seizure of counterfeit Epson ink bottles and counterfeit Epson ink cartridges.
In a report by INQUIRER.net, the news outlet stated that React Southeast Asia had reacted to a tip off about a Tarlac-based company selling fake Epson products online. In total the report said that the raid successfully lead to the seizure of 823 counterfeit bottles of printing inks and 44 fake printer ribbon cartridges.
According to INQUIRER.net, the authorities executed a search warrant and seized the goods during the inspection of the premises already in September but the information was only just made public.
React Southeast Asia division head Jonathan Selvasegaram said in a statement to INQUIRER.net: “Upon questioning, the staff disclosed that some 20 boxes of counterfeit Epson inks were shipped out to customers weeks before the raid. Counterfeit ink bottles, the report pointed out, were likely imported from China and shipped nationwide.”
