PaperCut unveils 24.1 release

December 18, 2024

PaperCut Software is proud to announce the release of version 24.1 of its flagship software, PaperCut MF.

This update introduces groundbreaking features, including robust scan reporting and archiving capabilities, support for Windows Protected Print Mode, and a streamlined Print Deploy support interface, further solidifying PaperCut’s position at the forefront of secure and efficient document management.

The release focuses on empowering organisations to better understand and manage their print and scan activities. Key highlights include:

  • Scan Reporting: Providing visibility into workplace scanning by detailing who, what, and where scans are conducted. Reports can be filtered by user, department, or device and scheduled for delivery.
  • Scan Archiving: Ensuring auditability with the ability to save, review, and export scanned documents alongside associated metadata for enhanced security.
  • Windows Protected Print Mode (WPP) Compatibility: Supporting Microsoft’s next-generation driverless printing platform, ensuring smooth transitions for users adapting to modern print workflows. For more information, visit the website.
  • Print Deploy Enhancements: Introducing a Client Management Interface for easier troubleshooting and new granular admin rights for more tailored access control.

“Organisations are seeking greater transparency and control over their document workflows, and PaperCut MF 24.1 delivers exactly that,” said Matt Coad, Head of Self-Hosted Software at PaperCut. “Whether it’s understanding how scanning impacts their workplace, transitioning to modern print protocols, or simplifying IT support, this release is packed with features to meet the evolving needs of today’s businesses.”

The release also addresses the growing demand for seamless security in print management. With scan archiving now complementing existing print archiving capabilities, organisations can safeguard sensitive data by auditing all document-related activities.

Additionally, the inclusion of WPP-ready features ensures a smooth transition to Microsoft’s enhanced print ecosystem while maintaining compatibility for legacy workflows.
