Paper Round acquires Reef Environmental

London and South East based recycling company Paper Round has announced the acquisition of waste and recycling collector, Reef Environmental Solutions.
The acquisition will allow Paper Round to extend their reach along the South coast, expanding their successful Brighton based business further into East Sussex, and Kent for the first time. It provides Paper Round with increased coverage area, facilities, and capacity to benefit customers old and new.
Reef Environmental specialises in commercial waste and secure shredding services, which will enhance Paper Round’s portfolio and service offering in the South East.
Managing Director of Paper Round, Bill Swan said: “The acquisition of Reef reinforces our commitment to business growth and allows us to expand our coverage throughout Sussex and Kent. Our Brighton business posted its best ever month in September, despite the pandemic, so now is the perfect time to expand our South coast business. We’re looking forward to building on the high-quality service that Reef Environmental provides its customers. This announcement comes at an exciting time for the business, as we commit to net zero by 2030 and start to electrify our entire fleet, with the purchase of three electric dustcarts costing over £1 million ($1.33 million/ €1.19 million).”

Paper Round are based in Greater London and West Sussex. Founded in the 80’s, they provide recycling and waste management services to forward-thinking, environmentally aware companies of all sizes. They have consistently been one of the first companies to bring to market new recycling streams, such as coffee cups and compostables and launch new innovations such as Carbon Reduction Reports to help their customers on their low carbon, net zero journey’s.
Reef Environmental Solutions, based in Hastings offers services such as confidential waste and paper shredding, recycling, and trade waste services. They cover Sussex and Kent and customers include offices, local government, the NHS, and charities.
