Company trials automated resupply robot aimed at streamlining office consumables delivery, with debut planned for Twain Converge.
P4P Hotel has announced a proof-of-concept (POC) for “Crickets”, backed by industry leaders Katun Corporation, Precision Duplicating Solutions, TWAIN Working Group, and Print4Pay Hotel. “Crickets” is an automated office resupply robot. The system will be shown publicly for the first time at the Twain Converge event later this year.
According to the company, “Crickets” is designed to move through office spaces, delivering supplies such as paper, toner, and other consumables directly to workstations or storage points. The aim is to reduce staff downtime, improve efficiency, and create a consistent replenishment process.
Katun Corporation is supplying a Katun Arivia MFP along with essential technical documentation. This enables Crickets to link with and understand MFP operations, enriching the robot’s AI “brain” with real-world task capability
P4P Hotel says the POC will demonstrate the potential for the robot to integrate with existing office management systems. This could allow automatic resupply triggers when stock levels run low. The company also notes that the system is intended to be adaptable for different building layouts and product types.
The announcement comes as automation in office logistics gains ground. Other sectors, including warehousing and healthcare, have already adopted mobile robots for routine delivery tasks. Whether “Crickets” can deliver similar benefits for the office imaging sector will depend on reliability, cost, and return on investment.
The company has not confirmed a commercial launch date or target pricing but indicated that feedback from the POC will guide further development.
