Ovid Bell Press partners with PrintReleaf
April 11, 2018
Ovid Bell Press, which produces publications for the short- to mid-run market, has been revealed as the latest printer to offer customers PrintReleaf’s certified reforestation service.
This collaboration with PrintReleaf will permit Ovid Bell Press customers to optionally plant trees equivalent to the paper used in their printing, thereby decreasing the carbon footprint of their purchase. Products printed with PrintReleaf Certification bear the PrintReleaf logo, which enables publishers and their readers to see details about the number and location of trees planted on their behalf.
Announcing the PrintReleaf offering, David O’Donley, Ovid Bell Press Vice President of Sales and Marketing, said: “Ovid Bell Press has long sought to protect the environment in our day-to-day operations. Now, by adopting PrintReleaf Certification, we offer our publishing customers the opportunity to help replant forests that have been decimated around the world. Through the PrintReleaf software, customers may choose from seven deserving forests in the United States, Mexico, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Ireland, India, and Madagascar.”
Ovid Bell Press is a subsidiary of the Walsworth Publishing Company based in Fulton, Missouri. The company has served the mid-range publications market since 1924. Today the publisher operates heat-set web presses with in-line UV coating and offline gloss or soft touch film lamination in a 100,000 square-foot plant in the heart of the United States. Ovid Bell Press is G7 certified and produces digital versions of the magazines they publish.
