Orink warns of more firmware updates

In an announcement at the beginning of the month, Orink informs about more firmware updates affecting third party cartridge use in various HP devices.

Orink said that its chip supplier notified them, that HP released new firmware updates at the end of April for machines using HP 903, 953, 913, 973 series inkjet cartridges as well as devices using HP CF258, CF259, CF415, CF416 series toner cartridges.

The company said that after the firmware update has been done, some printers might show an error message stating “Non-HP Chip Detected”.

In order to manage this upgrade, Orink has launched chip reset solutions  for the affected compatible products.
