Oki net sales slightly increased YoY

The company has released its latest financial results, reporting net sales increased year-on-year (YoY).

Net sales for the reporting period of the first half year of fiscal year 2023 were ¥162.8 billion ($1.12 billion/ €1.11 billion). Operating income was -¥4 billion (-$27.5 million/ -€27 million) for the reporting period.

For the components and platforms business segment that includes OKI’s LED printers, net sales ¥88 billion ($604 million/ €601 million), a decrease of ¥2.7 billion ($18.5 million/ €18.4 million) compared to the same period of the previous year.

Oki said in its presentation: “The supply chain impact continued in Q2. We took steps to ensure that projects shifted from previous year due to difficulties in procuring materials and prices were optimised.

“We are currently working to strengthen our response to supply chain impacts, such as by enhancing procurement capabilities and adapting replacement parts through design changes.”
