OKI MFPs also affected by vulnerabilities
June 19, 2024
The company has released a notice that it has been made aware of some vulnerabilities affecting some of its MFPs.
OKI has issued a notice that several vulnerabilities were identified but confirmed the issues do not result in the leakage of information from the product to outside parties.
The vulnerabilities affecting OKI ES9466MFP and ES9476MFP devices are the same as those Toshiba warned of earlier last week, affecting several of its e-Studio devices.
Like Toshiba, OKI recommends a firmware update to solve the issues and offers the workaround of “when connecting to the Internet, connect to a network protected through a firewall as described in the manual. Additionally, enable user authentication function and manage your passwords appropriately.”
