OKI is a firm favourite in Germany
September 7, 2018
OKI is the favourite household name in the printer category according to German consumers, receiving the title of ‘the most popular customer brand of 2018’ following a year-long study by Focus Money.
This large-scale survey has taken place annually for the past five years, the result of a joint effort between Focus Money and the German Institute for Quality and Finance. The survey evaluates millions of publications on social media from various sources. The survey, conducted over a 12-month period, garnered 53 million customer votes and is the largest consumer-based survey on brand strength in Germany.
The results of the survey revealed that OKI is the most popular brand in the printer category. For this in-depth study, the social media activity of more than 3,000 brands across 146 categories and industries was considered. Over 53 million customer votes were evaluated between June 2017 and May 2018, based on price, service, quality and reputation. The result of this extensive exercise is described as “an excellent indicator of how customers perceive and value each brand.”
Thomas Seeber, Vice President Central Region (DACH and BeNeLux) at OKI Europe, said “This wonderful award from our customers confirms the success of our business strategy and the continued development of our organisation. However, following receipt of this impressive title of ‘the most popular customer brand of 2018’, we are not resting on our laurels. We will continue our efforts to meet the demands of our customers. We are currently working with our resellers on ideas and innovative solutions to improve customer satisfaction by meeting their diverse needs, regardless of their size or sector.”
“We are delighted that our team in Germany have been awarded such a significant accolade. Undoubtedly this achievement is testament to their hard work and dedication to our customers, which has paid off in a big way! I would like to congratulate the team for this well-deserved award and thank all our customers that took the time to vote for us,” added Dennie Kawahara, Managing Director, OKI Europe Ltd.
