OKI announces partnership with ISW

OKI Data Corporation announced a direct OEM partnership that will continue sales and support of OKI Digital Transfer printers and consumables for North, Central and South American markets.
In September 2020, OKI Data Americas announced that effective 31 March 2021, OKI Data Americas, Inc. will no longer distribute printer hardware under the OKI brand to the North, Central and South American markets.
With this newly announced partnership, OKI said its resellers and OKI printer owners will also see an increase in support resources with digital and physical assets that will elevate the user experience using OKI white toner technology.
As part of this deal, the OKI Pro9541WT and Pro8432WT printers will be relaunched with a new brand name in late Spring 2021, additional product announcements are planned for later in the year. The new brand will continue to be “Powered by OKI Technology” offering the same white toner technology and decorating versatility.
The new brand will be unveiled in early Spring 2021.
For distribution, sales and support, Imaging Supplies Warehouse (ISW) will continue as master distributor of the new brand, as well as legacy OKI parts and consumables. OKI and ISW said they are working closely to ensure a smooth transition and rollout of the newly branded models.
In its announcement OKI said that it will continue to manufacture and supply genuine parts and consumables (toner, imaging drums, fusers, etc) through its authorised distribution partners for years to come.
OKI added it will fully honour all product warranties that have been, or are sold, with OKI Digital Transfer printers and it will continue to manufacture the Pro9541WT, Pro8432WT and C711WT and will be deliver these models to its dealers through the Spring of 2021, when the rebranded models with “Powered by OKI Technology” launches to replace the existing brand in name alone.
