OEMs scoop Summer Pick awards
August 8, 2018
Both Kyocera and Brother have received Summer 2018 Pick awards from BLI.
Kyocera picked up the award for its TASKalfa 9002i, which was dubbed the Most Reliable Colour Copier Multi-Functional Product.
2018 is the inauguration of this award, which has a duration of three years, and is designed to recognise excellence within the design, development and production of Copier MFPs. A rigorous testing procedure is carried out at BLI’s laboratory to analyse key factors such as product break-downs to decide the victor.
In the case of KYOCERA, the products scored 10 out of 10 for colour quality, printing speed and low costs. These results highlight the reliability of the products in a range of aspects to ensure that products from across the brand’s range are able to stand the test of time and still produce high-quality results.
“All of KYOCERA’s colour copiers demonstrated excellent reliability, with every device scoring 10 out of 10,” noted George Mikolay, Associate Director for Keypoint Intelligence – Buyers Lab. “With a low misfeed rate and zero service interventions required, KYOCERA colour copiers are designed to keep users productive.”
In the case of Brother, the OEM won awards in the Printers/MFPs and Scanners categories.
The company’s MFC-L2750DW scooped the award for Outstanding MFP for Small and Home Offices, with BLI saying, “The Brother MFC-L2750DW gives home and small office users the perfect mix of affordability, ease of use, and reliability,” said Marlene Orr, Director of Printer & MFP Analysis for Keypoint Intelligence – Buyers Lab. “And with value-adding features like Brother Web Connect to let users scan to and print from an impressive array of popular cloud services and a document feeder that scans both sides of a page in a single pass, the MFC-L2750DW keeps workers productive throughout the day.”
Brother said it was “extremely honoured to receive these awards” and expressed its ongoing commitment to providing “superior value to customers.”
