Canon and Brother have each received a clutch of iF Design Awards 2018, with printers featuring among the accoladed products.
Established in 1953, the iF Design Awards are recognised internationally as one of the most prestigious awards within the field of design, with outstanding industrial designs chosen from all over the world each year.
This year 6,402 entries from 54 countries and regions were judged by internationally active design experts across seven disciplines: product, packaging, communication, interior architecture, professional concept, service design/UX and architecture.
This year marks Canon’s 24th consecutive year of winning iF Design Awards. The OEM received a total of 6 awards this year, one of which went to its G series inkjet printer, while another award was handed out for the i-SENSYS MF730/630 series laser MFP and the i-SENSYS LPB650/610 series LBP.
As for Brother, the company scooped four 2018 awards, making this the 11th consecutive year the OEM has been honoured by iF. Three of the awards went to Brother’s all-in-one HL/DCP/MFC-L8000 series colour laser printers, its all-in-one HL-L9310DW/MFC-L9570CDW colour laser printer series, and its MFC-J6935DW/MFC-J6995CDW inkjet multifunction printers.
