Ninestar unveils 2023 ESG report

Ninestar Corporation has released its 2023 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report, showcasing significant strides in governance, environmental sustainability, and social responsibility.
Ninestar established an ESG Committee in December 2022, spearheaded by the Director of the Board. The company also formed an Integrity and Self-discipline Committee in April 2023 to bolster integrity and business ethics management. To further streamline operations, the ESG Project Team was restructured in September 2023, enhancing efficiency and clarity in management responsibilities. Additionally, Ninestar improved its ESG information disclosure, ensuring greater transparency on its Chinese and English websites.
Ninestar’s environmental initiatives are aligned with global and national standards. The company developed climate risk response measures in accordance with the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures’ recommendations. The company emphasised a green lifecycle management approach, investing heavily in clean technology R&D and optimising green product design.
Ninestar’s social contributions reflect its dedication to quality management, product innovation, and employee development. The company championed a culture of “Do It Right the First Time” to enhance quality management and combat counterfeit products. Notable achievements in product R&D include international security certifications and the launch of new technologies. In 2023, Ninestar audited 705 suppliers for ESG labour management and conflict minerals management, demonstrating its commitment to responsible supply chain practices. Employee development was prioritised through extensive training programmes, support for higher education, and reward systems such as stock incentives.
Ninestar’s efforts have garnered numerous accolades, including the “Best Market Performance Award” for its chip products and high rankings in ESG-related indexes. Economically, the company reported substantial R&D investments, tax contributions, and operating revenue. Its total greenhouse gas emissions were recorded at 25,986.26 tCO2e, reflecting its ongoing efforts to minimise environmental impact.
