Ninestar releases virtual factory tour
December 3, 2021
The company explored a way to continue making their factories accessible to customers and potential customers although COVID-19 has been restricting in person factory tours.
Ninestar said it recognised there was a need for an efficient and economical way to allow customers to visit the factory hassle-free. So, in March 2020, Ninestar transformed the in-person factory experience into a virtual tour designed for mobile devices using ultra-modern 360-degree VR (virtual reality) technology.
It meant that customers and would-be buyers could “virtually visit” the factory and enjoy a simulated physical presence, no matter where they are in the world. They just need the Internet.
Ninestar said: “When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, it forced Ninestar to pause its in-person factory tours. The uncertainty of when worldwide clients and distributors could visit again has been frustrating for all parties.”
Since its first release in March, the Ninestar team has updated the experience with three additional features, its ink factory, its solar panels and its sewage treatment station
The 450,000 square meter industrial park, opened in 2013, and is where Ninestar manufactures and remanufactures its globally recognised brand of printing supplies.
