Ninestar releases H1 report

The company has published its H1 report, reporting stable operating income but a profit drop of 67.07%.
In the first half of 2023, the company achieved a total operating income of ¥12.300 billion ($1.69 billion/ €1.57 billion), an increase of 0.03% over the same period last year, and a net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies of ¥351 million ($48.3 million/ €44.6 million). A decrease of 67.07% compared with the same period last year.
Lexmark International’s operating income was $1.021 billion ($140.6 million/ €129.6 million), a year-on-year decrease of approximately 11.83%, however the sales volume of printers increased by about 12% year-on-year.
Pantum achieved operating income of ¥2.191 billion ($301.7 million/ €278 million), a year-on-year increase of approximately 3.68%. Sales volume increased by about 11.21% year-on-year, among which Pantum’s overseas market shipments increased by more than 30% year-on-year. Pantum A3 printer shipments increased by more than 100% YoY.
During the reporting period, Geehy Microelectronics’ (Apex) operating income was ¥769 million ($105.9 million/ €97.6 million), down 27.07% from the same period last year. The operating income of the consumable chip business was ¥225 million ($31 million/ €28.6 million); the net profit was ¥148 million ($20.4 million/ €18.8 million), a year-on-year decrease of 67.35%. During the reporting period, the overall shipment of Geehy microchips was 238 million units, a year-on-year increase of 13.73%.
In the first half of 2023, the company’s consumables business revenue was ¥2.902 billion ($400.6 million/ €368.3 million), a year-on-year decrease of 6.23%; net profit was ¥79 million ($10.9 million/ €10 million, a year-on-year decrease of 42.75%.
