Ninestar fixes HP’s latest firmware block
March 20, 2020
Ninestar delivers a solution in three days, a fix for HP’s latest firmware update that effects the HP952/953/954/955 and HP902/903/904/905 series cartridges.
On 17 March 2020, The Recycler reported news of the HP firmware update affecting the HP952/953/954/955 and HP902/903/904/905 series cartridges.
Ninestar spotted the story and commented: “After our R&D team’s intense development, we are happy to announce that Ninestar’s solution for latest HP firmware upgrades is available now!”
The HP firmware update will prompt a message of “Cartridge Problem” and cartridges will fail to work when a compatible or remanufactured cartridge is newly installed. Ninestar recommends that users do not remove the current installed cartridges because the upgraded printers allow the installed compatible or remanufactured cartridges to continue working until they are empty.
The company urges resellers to continue to educate customers to disable the printers’ auto update function. Once disabled, their use of compatible or remanufactured products will not be affected by further firmware upgrades.
Ninestar said it will resume the supply for HP952/953/954/955 series and HP902/903/904/905 series products from 20 March 2020.
