Ninestar discusses first half year results

Ninestar’s revenue was RMB12.30 billion ($1.78 billion/ €1.78 billion) in the first half of 2022 (H1, 2022), up 10.03% compared to the same period last year.
Net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company increased 102.49% year-over-year to RMB1.07 billion ($154.68 million/ €154.82 million), while net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company after deduction of non-recurring gains and losses was RMB0.94 billion ($135.89 million/ €136 million), up 311.87% compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting period, Ninestar’s aftermarket print consumables business realised an operating revenue of RMB3.10 billion ($448.16 million/ €448.69 million), up 16.53% compared to the same period last year. Net profit turned out to be RMB0.14 billion ($20.24 million/ €20.26 million), up 42.27% compared to the same period last year.
With a shipment of 209 million chips in the first half year, Apex’s revenue increased 54.9% year-over-year to RMB1.055 billion ($153.24 million/ €153.4 million). Apex compatible printer chip business revenue was RMB0.76 billion ($109.87 million/ €109.97 million) while non-printing consumable chip business revenue turned out to be RMB0.30 billion ($43.37 million/ €43.41 million). Apex net profit turned out to be RMB0.45 billion ($65.06 million/ €65.12 million), up 33.67% compared to the same period last year.
Lexmark operating revenue was registered to be RMB1.16 billion ($167.72 million/ €167.88 million), up 9.34% compared to the same period. Lexmark printer sales volume increased 18% year-over-year, with an earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) of RMB0.13 billion ($18.80 million/ €18.81 million), down 8% year-over-year. Lexmark net profit in the first half turned out to be RMB0.31 billion ($44.82 million/ €44.84 million), up 111.56% year-over-year.
Pantum operating revenue turned out to be RMB2.11 billion ($305.16 million/ €305.26 million), up 13% compared to the same period last year. Pantum printer sales volume increased 33% year-over-year and Pantum original consumables shipment increased 48% year-over-year along with the growth of printer installation. Pantum net profit increased 3% year-over-year to RMB0.36 billion ($52.07 million/ €52.08 million).
