New Solution launches NS LION powered by Memjet

New Solution announced NS LION, a Memjet powered integrated label coating, printing and finishing system.
Memjet announced that OEM partner New Solution has incorporated Memjet technology into its NS LION label coating printer. The NS LION is an end-to-end, label printing solution that coats, prints, laminates, die cuts, slits and finishes labels in a single inline process.
According to Memjet, the NS LION enables converters to incorporate digital technology and produce small volumes of high-quality, customised labels for a fraction of the capital cost of digital or flexo alternatives. NS LION produces short runs from 100 to 50,000 labels.
“The emerging generation expects a consistent yet cohesive brand experience across a more dynamic product mix, requiring a new approach to label production,” notes André Jacques, vice president of sales and marketing, New Solution. “To operate in this new ‘instant-response’ culture where smaller volumes represent a growing portion of the industry, label converters need flexible, integrated solutions. The NS LION enables converters to meet those market demands and produce high-quality labels in a fast, affordable and integrated way.”
By utilising Memjet printhead technology, the NS LION produces a 1600 x 1600 dpi output that equals the quality of offset at a fraction of the cost.
“All of the time-consuming setup work involved in flexo printing has been compressed into a fast, easy workflow that requires virtually no setup time,” says Manuel Martinez, product developer at New Solution. “Using the inline capabilities of the NS LION means less setup, fewer steps and a faster production of customised labels.”
