New President for DocuWare
March 5, 2019
The provider of cloud solutions for document management and workflow automation has announced that Jim Roberts will become the new President of its US headquarters.
Roberts will be based in the corporation’s New York office and will hold responsibility for the Americas. The company will continue to be led globally by Co-Presidents Max Ertl and Dr. Michael Berger.
In his new role, Roberts will report directly to Co-President Ertl, heading up sales for the Americas. With decades of leadership experience and a “proven record” of taking customer- and process-centric companies to the next level of sales and expansion, he will also oversee the general US office.
Previously, Roberts served as Vice President Global Sales at Telesis; prior to that he held the position of Head of Sales & Marketing at Mettler-Toledo International Inc.
“This is an exciting time for DocuWare, and I am thrilled to take on this new role,” said Roberts. “DocuWare became a technology leader in the SMB market by pioneering the strategy that cloud document management and workflow automation should be available to any size business. I look forward to leading the company into its next phase of growth.”
DocuWare described the appointment of Roberts as “a clear reflection of the company’s drive to maintain its ambitious growth targets.”
“We welcome Jim’s energy, direction and experience,” said Co-Presidents Berger and Ertl, in a joint statement. “These, along with his passion for our mission, our partners and our customers will make his impact on DocuWare’s growth throughout the Americas strong and successful.”
The company has over 2,000 cloud customers at the start of 2019, as well as 12,000 active customers in total across more than 90 countries, and describes itself as “fired up for continued success in the content services market.”
