Printlife joins ETIRA, strengthening its commitment to sustainable remanufacturing.
Underscoring their dedication to environmental sustainability and quality in the printer cartridge remanufacturing sector, Printlife Tonerkartuschen Recycling GmbH (Printlife) has recently become a member of the European Toner and Inkjet Remanufacturers Association (ETIRA). This development marks a new chapter in Printlife’s journey, which began in 2006 and aligns with its continuous efforts to promote green initiatives within the industry.
Printlife, based in Germany, has been at the forefront of the remanufacturing industry for over a decade, offering high-quality remanufactured monochrome and colour laser cartridges. The company prides itself on its stringent quality control processes, ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. This commitment is further exemplified by their award of the Blue Angel label for various toner cartridges, highlighting their contribution to environmental protection.
By joining ETIRA, Printlife not only reinforces its position as a leader in sustainable practices but also gains an influential voice in advocating for the interests of the remanufacturing industry at the European level. ETIRA, known for its rigorous standards and advocacy for environmentally friendly remanufacturing practices, provides a platform for its members to share knowledge, foster innovation, and collectively address challenges facing the industry.
This membership comes at a time when Printlife has already demonstrated its environmental stewardship through various initiatives, such as utilising green electricity, engaging in climate-neutral product delivery, and ensuring that all its toner cartridges are recycled, avoiding the sale of newly manufactured cartridges from Asia.
Printlife’s CEO, Christian Flögel, who took complete ownership of the company in 2023 expressed enthusiasm about the membership, stating, “Joining ETIRA is a natural step for Printlife as we continue to lead the way in sustainable remanufacturing. This partnership not only aligns with our core values but also enhances our ability to serve our customers with products that are not just high in quality but also kind to the planet.”
The company is headquartered in Rastatt, and its production site is in the picturesque Kranjska Gora in Slovenia, near the Triglav National Park.
The company employs experienced industry professionals with many having over 10 years in the industry and where gender equality is a key focus with an approximately 50/50 split, including among the leadership positions.
The company specialises in remanufacturing private label, neutral, or bulk products and does not operate with a house brand in the B2B sector.
The company’s decision to join ETIRA is expected to bolster its capabilities in offering environmentally friendly remanufacturing solutions and contribute to the broader goal of reducing the industry’s carbon footprint. As Printlife continues to innovate and expand its services, its membership in ETIRA stands as a testament to its dedication to sustainability and excellence in the remanufacturing industry.
