MPS Systems Asia welcomes new engineer
July 12, 2018
Following the appointment of Julius Urbano as Regional Service Engineer earlier this year, MPS Systems Asia has again expanded service operations with Teh Chiau Khuang joining as Service Engineer.
Teh is responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting of MPS presses throughout Asia, and is based at MPS Systems Asia headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
In addition to a bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Teh also brings four years’ experience as a Service Technician in the printing industry to the role. After an intensive month of training at MPS’ Expertise and Technology Centre in The Netherlands, MPS explains Teh is fully qualified to provide on-site and on-line technical service for MPS presses, and support MPS agents and their local service engineers in Asia.
“Fixing problems and immersing myself in the world of electronics is my passion,” comments Teh. “Machines have always fascinated me, and I was excited and eager to gain knowledge and hands-on experience in flexo, offset and hybrid printing process, and learn how to operate and service MPS presses.”
Tim Klappe, Managing Director of MPS Systems Asia comments: “Teh is a dedicated service engineer with an innate ability to tackle and fix technical issues. He is keen to understand the overall functionality of a machine and how to optimize it to minimize downtime. The addition of Teh is another great step in growing our local service in Asia.”
Since the official opening of MPS Systems Asia headquarters in January with Klappe and George Tan, MPS Area Sales Manager, representation has expanded with the appointment of Suwannee Tantisrisuk as MPS Area Sales Manager based in Bangkok, Thailand; Chimeng Packaging representing MPS in Taiwan; local presence in the Philippines with Interworld Cre and representation in Vietnam by Print & Pack Machinery Co., Ltd.
