MPS has announced another development in the process of expanding their regional presence across Asia since the opening of their official Asia branch office in January 2018, with the addition of Julius Urbano as Regional Service Engineer.
Julius will provide pre- and post-installation technical service for MPS presses in the Asia-Pacific region, and support local service engineers of various agents.
Managing Director MPS Systems Asia, Tim Klappe, comments: ”The addition of Julius to our team is an important next step in our growth throughout the Asia Pacific region, and we are delighted to welcome him on board. We recognize the importance for our customers to receive local service and support, and with this appointment we are able to do so in a much better way.”
With 18 years’ direct experience as a Field Service Engineer in the printing industry, Julius Urbano brings a wealth of knowledge to the position. Born in the Philippines, Julius has lived and worked in several Asian countries and is currently based at MPS Systems Asia headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Julius will receive in-depth training of MPS flexo, offset and hybrid press technology at MPS headquarters in Arnhem, The Netherlands.
Klappe concludes: “Our momentum is building quickly. We are actively recruiting additional Service Engineers, growing our Asia-Pacific agent representation, solidifying local supplier partnerships, and plan to establish a demo centre here in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.”
