MORGENSTERN Group partners with Epson

The MORGENSTERN Group partners with Epson in Germany to resell the OEMs business inkjet range.
The decisive factor for the expansion of the portfolio in the area of ??”inkjet printing” is the increasing role of social responsibility, in the decision-making process of small and medium-sized companies and public authorities, explained the MORGENSTERN Group.
In contrast to other printing processes, Epson inkjet printers do not require any warm-up time, since “cold printing technology” forms the basis for its technology. This technology, specially developed by Epson and proven over many years, means that the long warm-up times for a printer are eliminated and significant electricity costs can be saved. This enables companies to reduce power consumption by up to 96% compared to comparable laser printers, the company explained.
“Another point that should not be underestimated, which is why the MORGENSTERN Group decided to expand its portfolio in the area of “inkjet printing”, is that a lot of waste can be saved with Epson business inkjet printers. The wider reach of consumables is decisive for the fact that fewer wearing parts such as cartridges or drums are required, ” said Robin Morgenstern, CEO of MORGENSTERN AG.
At the same time, this added value ensures that the customer can expect fewer interventions, such as changing the consumables.
Erhard Wezel, Board Member for Technical Service and Materials Management at MORGENSTERN AG and COO of the Group explained: “We have had the market for business printers and MFPs in focus for many years. The first inkjet printers around five years ago were not yet geared towards the needs of professional users. Last summer, we made the decision to re-examine the manufacturer market, because we believe that the second, and in some cases also third generation, business inkjet machines were really marketable.”
In a panel of experts from the MORGENSTERN group, all providers who have a corresponding product range in this segment were examined. Both technical and commercial as well as organizational factors and especially sustainability issues were assessed. Extensive hardware tests were followed by software and user tests.
“After this intensive examination, we carried out an assessment for the needs of the MORGENSTERN Group and, after further discussions with our favourite, Epson, were able to enter into the planning and implementation of the new partnership with very good voting results. Decisive factors for Epson were the deeply rooted issue of sustainability in corporate policy, the focus of the manufacturer on inkjet technology and the exclusive marketing of the solutions via the specialist trade channel. We were also able to determine that the organisation of Epson is 100% compatible with that of MORGENSTERN – digital where sensible, human and personal in all details,” concluded Wezel.
Jens Greine, Head of Channel Sales Germany, added: “We are very pleased that we were able to convince the MORGENSTERN Group of the Epson Business Inkjets and Epson as partners. The decision shows us that the development of our portfolio and our strategy have gone in the right direction in recent years. Likewise, the decision by MORGENSTERN is also an incentive for us to continue to work intensively on driving development. Thanks to MORGENSTERN’s great expertise in all areas of print and process management and our innovative products, customers in all relevant target markets can benefit from very sustainable and efficient solutions. The Epson team is looking forward to working with you!”
