More bite the dust in new Canon takedowns

The OEM requested removal of toner cartridges offered by BAISINE and Quicktoner from Amazon.com, by Toy and Gift Shop from Amazon.co.uk and by reset-chips via Amazon.de, Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.it.
Canon Inc. announced the filing of an infringement report with Amazon.com seeking removal of Amazon.com listings for certain toner cartridges sold by BAISINE for use in HP laser beam printers.
Canon’s infringement report alleged that certain model CF258A toner cartridges sold by BAISINE via Amazon.com infringed Canon’s U.S. Patent Nos. 8,280,278; 8,630,564; 8,682,215; and 8,688,008. Canon requested that Amazon remove BAISINE’s listings for those products, namely, BAISINE’s listings with Amazon Standard Identification Numbers (“ASINs”) B07XDSRXCQ and B07YCC6GDF.
At the time of this announcement, the above-identified BAISINE listings were no longer available on Amazon.com.
The company also announced the filing of Report Infringement Forms with Amazon UK based on the alleged use of claims 1 and 2 of the UK portion of Canon’s European Patent EP 1 977 289 (“EP ‘289”) regarding the cartridge models CE410X, CE411A, CE412A, CE413A, CB540A and CF210X offered by Toy and Gift Shop under the ASINs (Amazon Standard Identification Numbers) B00HW0JG60, B00A6U6OXQ, B00A6U6P6M, B00A6U6PIA, B002FKLINQ and B00HW0JQL0.
Afterwards, Amazon took down the respective products. These products are compatible with the above OEM HP cartridge models CE410X, CE411A, CE412A, CE413A, CB540A CF210X and provide inter alia a non-OEM housing and a non-OEM force receiving device according to claim 1 of EP ‘289. Furthermore, they comprise an elastic portion according to claim 2 of EP ‘289.
Additionally, Canon announced the filing of Report Infringement Forms with Amazon.de, Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.it based on the alleged use of claims 1 and 2 of the German, Spanish and Italian portion of Canon’s European Patent EP 1 977 289 (“EP ‘289”) regarding certain models of toner cartridges offered by reset-chips under the following ASINs (Amazon Standard Identification Numbers).
Afterwards, Amazon took down the respective products. These products are compatible with the OEM HP cartridge models and provide inter alia a non-OEM housing and a non-OEM force receiving device according to claim 1 of EP ‘289. Amazon informed the vendors about the takedowns and the vendors may object to it.
